Yes. The text is first converted to UTF-8 bytes with
TextEncoder, so every character — including multi-byte characters — is correctly converted to hex code and decoded back.There are two possible reasons: (1) the hex data has an odd number of digits (each byte requires exactly 2 digits), or (2) the hex data doesn't form a valid UTF-8 byte sequence (e.g. a random/corrupted hex string). In both cases, check the data and try again.
Space-separated (
48 65), concatenated (4865), 0x-prefixed (0x48 0x65), and \x-prefixed (\x48\x65) formats are all supported. The "Hex → Text" tab auto-detects all of these formats — even if you paste a mix, it strips prefixes/whitespace and decodes it.Last updated:
