Description of the service
OpenMoon offers account-free, free tools that run 100% in your browser, Turkish-language game guides, and small browser-based games (except for the optional account feature in the To-Do List and the game leaderboard). The service is provided "as is"; no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose is given.
Calculators and validation tools
Finance/tax tools such as the VAT/withholding-tax/salary calculator, severance and notice-pay calculator, annual leave calculator, loan installment calculator, IBAN and Turkish national ID validation, motor vehicle tax (MTV), title-deed fee, property tax, income tax, stamp tax, VAT withholding, late-payment interest, rental-income (GMSİ) declaration, and DASK premium are for informational purposes only. The output of these tools does not substitute for an official document, legal opinion, accounting/certified-public-accountancy service, or a result approved by a bank or public authority. The rates embedded in these tax and fee tools (the MTV tariff, income-tax brackets, fee and premium rates, etc.) belong to the year they were prepared (2026) and were compiled from official sources; since they may change each year with new regulations, you must confirm the current figure with the relevant official source (the Official Gazette / the Revenue Administration, GİB) or an expert (a certified public accountant) before acting. Document-generation tools such as the self-employment receipt and the invoice/proforma produce output for draft/internal use only; they do not substitute for the official/legal document required under the Turkish Tax Procedure Law. Current legislative parameters (VAT rates, the severance pay cap, tax brackets, etc.) may change periodically; we recommend verifying with the relevant official source or an expert before making a decision. Health/informational tools such as BMI, Calorie Needs (BMR/TDEE), Ideal Weight, Body Fat Percentage and Daily Water Intake do not replace medical advice, diagnosis or treatment; the medical disclaimer text on the relevant page is part of these terms. Educational tools such as Course Grade Average, GPA Calculator and YKS/LGS Net Score are for informational purposes only; they do not replace an official grade report, transcript or placement result, and can vary according to the relevant institution's or ÖSYM/MEB's rules. The current rates/prices in the Currency Converter (rate source: TCMB) and Gold Value Calculator (source: Truncgil) tools are indicative, may be delayed, and do not substitute for an official transaction rate or a definitive buy/sell price; for an exact figure, consult your bank or an authorized institution.
User accounts (To-Do List)
Creating an account in the To-Do List tool is entirely optional and is the only feature on the site that requires an account. Your responsibilities regarding your account:
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for the actions taken through your account.
- You can permanently delete your account and all your data (lists, tasks) at any time using the "delete my account" option in the app; this action cannot be undone.
- If you forget your password, use "Forgot my password" to receive a reset link at your email address — see the Privacy Policy.
- If abuse is suspected (e.g. automated account creation, brute-force login attempts), the relevant account may be suspended.
Outside of this feature, no account or authentication is required anywhere else on the site.
Game leaderboard and nicknames
Submitting your score to the public leaderboard in our games (Sözyıldız, Moon Landing, Orbital Shot) is optional and requires no account. If you choose to submit a nickname, you accept the following rules:
- Your nickname is publicly visible; therefore do not enter personal information that identifies you, such as your real name, email, or phone number.
- The nickname may not contain profanity, insults, racist/hateful content, obscene language, impersonation of another person or entity, or advertising/spam-like text. Such names are blocked automatically.
- Attempting to manipulate scores (submitting fake/automated scores) or sending excessive/automated requests to the leaderboard is prohibited and may be blocked.
- OpenMoon reserves the right to remove any nickname or score it deems inappropriate, without prior notice. You can request the deletion of your own entry from the email address specified in the Privacy Policy.
Dynamic QR codes
The "Dynamic QR" feature in the QR Code Generator lets you change the destination that your short link (e.g. openmoon.com.tr/q/…) redirects to after the fact, and is only available with a signed-in account. By using this feature, you agree to the following rules:
- You are entirely responsible for the content and lawfulness of the destination address you set. You may not use the short link to redirect to content that is illegal, contains malware, is intended for fraud or phishing, is obscene, or infringes the rights of third parties.
- OpenMoon reserves the right to deactivate or remove, without prior notice, any dynamic QR link it determines is being misused or redirects to a destination in breach of these rules. You can also edit, deactivate or delete the links you created at any time; for what data is stored, see the Privacy Policy.
If you believe a dynamic QR link redirects to a destination that is illegal, contains malware, or is intended for fraud/phishing, you can report it to us via our contact page. It's enough to include the short link in question (openmoon.com.tr/q/…) in your report. We review such reports within a reasonable time and, where we find them justified, deactivate or remove the link without delay.
Limitation of liability
OpenMoon and the site owner cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage arising from the use of the tools (data loss, decisions made based on an incorrect calculation result, loss of business, etc.). You are expected to evaluate the results in your own context before relying on any tool.
Acceptable use
We expect you not to use the site in a way that is unlawful, infringes on the rights of others, or harms our servers/infrastructure (e.g. sending automated or excessive bulk requests that place undue load on it).
Intellectual property
The site design, brand name, logo, and guide texts belong to OpenMoon. Game images and names referenced in the game guides belong to their respective game studios/publishers; source attributions are provided in the relevant guide and in the guide catalog. Copyright in these images is not transferred to OpenMoon.
Audio/video cutting, merging and conversion tools
The MP3/WAV Cutter & Joiner, Video Cutter & Joiner, and Media Converter are general-purpose editing tools that only process the file you upload, in your browser; they do not download, search for, or produce any content on your behalf. You should only upload audio and video files that you own, or that you otherwise have the right to cut, merge, convert or share. Reproducing, modifying or sharing a third party's copyrighted content (e.g. a song, movie or TV episode) without the rightsholder's permission may infringe rights under Turkish Law No. 5846 on Intellectual and Artistic Works (FSEK). Full responsibility for any content and copyright consequences arising from use of these tools rests with the user.
Cryptography and password tools
Tools such as the HMAC Generator, Bcrypt Hash Generator/Comparator, RSA Key Pair Generator, Text Encrypt/Decrypt (AES-GCM), and Password Strength Analysis are intended for education, testing, and personal use only; they are not a substitute for a professional security audit, an enterprise key-management system, or licensed cryptography/security consulting. If you lose the passphrase used to encrypt data with the Text Encrypt/Decrypt tool, that content becomes permanently inaccessible; this tool has no recovery mechanism or backdoor. You are solely responsible for the confidentiality and secure storage of any private key generated with the RSA Key Pair Generator; these keys are lost on page refresh and are never stored or recoverable by us. OpenMoon cannot be held liable for any data loss or security breach arising from use of these tools (see "Limitation of liability" above).
Third-party links
OpenMoon is not responsible for the content of external links included in the guides, such as game wikis or official sites; these sites are subject to their own terms of use and privacy policies.
Advertising
To remain free, the site may show third-party ads (e.g. Google AdSense). The content of the ads is determined not by OpenMoon but by the relevant ad network and advertisers; OpenMoon is not responsible for the accuracy of the ad content, the advertised products/services, or the sites reached by clicking an ad. Changes to the service
Tools and guides may be updated, removed, or replaced by a new tool from time to time. We have no obligation to give prior notice in such a case.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey.
The English translation of these Terms of Use and Privacy Policy is provided solely for user convenience. In the event of any conflict between the Turkish text and the English translation, the Turkish text shall prevail.
