Frequently Asked Questions

You'll get the best result with an array of objects: [{"name":"..."}, ...]. A single object becomes a one-row table; an array of arrays is written as rows/columns. Nested objects are written into the cell as JSON text.

When the "Excel compatibility" option is on, a UTF-8 BOM marker is added to the start of the file and a semicolon is used as the separator, so localized versions of Excel open the file correctly. If you're importing into another program, you can turn this option off.
