Frequently Asked Questions
First the total fuel amount is found: Distance (km) / 100 × Average consumption (L/100km). If round-trip is selected, the distance is doubled. Total cost is calculated by multiplying the litre amount by the price per litre.
The manufacturer-stated L/100km figure in your vehicle's manual is a starting point, but real consumption varies with driving style, traffic and road conditions. The trip computer's average consumption reading, or an average calculated over a few tank fills, gives a more realistic figure.
If you're sharing the trip with more than one person, this divides the total cost by the number of people you enter to show the amount per person — useful for splitting costs fairly.
