Course Grade Average (Midterm-Final)

Enter your course components (midterm, final, assignment...) and their weights; see your weighted average and passing status.

Runs 100% in your browser — your grades are never sent to a server.
This tool only calculates an average from the weights you enter; the passing threshold, letter-grade conversion and success criteria can vary by school/institution and even by course. The result does not replace an official grade report or transcript — always refer to your own institution's regulations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Each component's grade is multiplied by its own weight and summed, then divided by the total weight: Average = Σ(Grade × Weight) / Σ(Weight). This formula gives the correct result even if the weights don't add up to 100; the tool still warns you if they don't.

Formula: Required final = (Target average − Known grade × Known weight / 100) / (Final weight / 100). If the result is above 100, reaching this target isn't possible with the current weights; if it's negative or very low, you may have already passed the target.

No — no data is sent to or saved on a server, the entire calculation happens in your browser. If you refresh the page, the grades you entered are lost.
